Mahonia Hall
A multi-phase exterior renovation and rehabilitation project for the Oregon Governor’s official residence which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Careful consideration of repair procedures and specifications was done to ensure that the work would maintain the historic integrity and value of the house. Initially a complete investigation of the exterior of the building was performed and a report was prepared for the Department of Administrative Services documenting the condition of the exterior and recommendations for repairs, including photo-documentation of repair areas.
The project involved the restoration of the exterior including replacement of wood half-timbers and wood trim, repair of stucco, replacement of flashing, restoration of window frames and sashes, re-caulking, repainting, reroof, restoration of masonry chimneys, and restoration of leaded glass windows.
